I just wanted to send an email about Pierce. I helped coach Hamer’s team last year. They were very good, winning most games. Pierce was their best player overall. Hamer is in Pierce’s class at school and he said that he wasn’t going to play soccer because of baseball. In the spring when he was going to sign up, I communicated with his mom that I thought 8 years old was too young to choose between soccer and baseball, and he should sign up for both. As it turns out, it looks like he has more conflict this fall than normal. I don’t think he would have conflicts for the couple of week night games, and I think the spring would be better. I don’t know how much you have talked with his mom, but I would hope that we could continue to encourage Pierce to be involved in soccer. Maybe he will end up choosing soccer over baseball in the future!
Anyway, I’m not telling you what to do, I just wanted to give you the history I have had with Pierce.
I’m sorry that I didn’t continue to volunteer last week. I wondered if Hamer didn’t want me to continue to volunteer to help, and then he said his legs hurt. I have two other soccer players, so it is difficult to commit to one. This last Saturday we had three kids that were playing on three different fields at one point!
See you tomorrow.
