Tomorrow's Game

Na-IL

I just wanted to send an email about Pierce.  I helped coach Hamer’s team last year.  They were very good, winning most games.  Pierce was their best player overall.  Hamer is in Pierce’s class at school and he said that he wasn’t going to play soccer because of baseball.  In the spring when he was going to sign up, I communicated with his mom that I thought 8 years old was too young to choose between soccer and baseball, and he should sign up for both.  As it turns out, it looks like he has more conflict this fall than normal.  I don’t think he would have conflicts for the couple of week night games, and I think the spring would be better.  I don’t know how much you have talked with his mom, but I would hope that we could continue to encourage Pierce to be involved in soccer.  Maybe he will end up choosing soccer over baseball in the future!

Anyway, I’m not telling you what to do, I just wanted to give you the history I have had with Pierce.

I’m sorry that I didn’t continue to volunteer last week.  I wondered if Hamer didn’t want me to continue to volunteer to help, and then he said his legs hurt.  I have two other soccer players, so it is difficult to commit to one.  This last Saturday we had three kids that were playing on three different fields at one point!

See you tomorrow.

Parent Meeting

Dear parents,

We will be meeting at the church on May 11th for a parent meeting to discuss upcoming plans within the pack and a bunch of general housekeeping issues. This is a parent meeting so please leave your scout at home and have at least one member of the family attend. I will try to keep it under 30 minutes...but could take up to an hour depending on input and questions.
I will update the invite and e-mail an agenda once it is finalized, but want to get the date out on everyone’s calendar as early as possible so that we can have a good turnout.

Thanks
Ciel

Pre-School Celebration

All families are welcome to meet at the playground to play and eat a picnic dinner!

You are welcome to bring your picnic snack/dinner of your choice to enjoy outside.  Or just come to play!

There are only a few benches and tables so we would encourage you to bring picnic blanket to sit on.

Parents are responsible for supervising children at this event.

If weather doesn’t permit us to be outside, the same celebration will be held inside Novak in the multipurpose room.

We are looking forward to this fun way of celebrating the end of a wonderful preschool year!

Practice time and location

Home run Team O Parents:

With our scrimmage tonight lasting all of 1/2 inning before the severe weather precaution, we'd like to get the boys together this Friday for practice.  We'll start @ 5:30 over at Field 16  off Blairsferry-
We hope to see you there.

As I'd mentioned this evening before we all scattered for cover, our plan is to try to get one team practice per week in the next several weeks - particularly as that practice preseason flew by and we had some weather issues.  We can reserve this same field and practice time (Friday post 5:30) most any week, so please tentatively pencil that in on your schedules. I'll send out emails on Sunday evenings verifying the practice time and location for the week.

Please don't hesitate to call, text or email if you have questions or want to discuss.

Thanks!
